On Wednesday, May 2, 2012, Dr. Thomas Turner, professor of history emeritus, spoke before the Emerit Faculty in the Maxwell Library's Heritage Room at Bridgewater State University.

Dr. Turner's forthcoming book -- "Not to Be Ministered Unto but to Minister" -- is the first complete history of the university to be published since 1919 (a 1933 history, authored by Arthur Clarke Boyden, class of 1879, principal and later president of BSU, was unfinished at his death and published later).

Dr. Stephen Smalley, professor of art emeritus, and chairman of the Emeriti Faculty group, introduced Dr. Turner.
